Job summary

A regional law firm in the West Midlands is seeking a Senior Contentious Probate Lawyer / Partner to lead and expand its Contentious Trusts & Probate offering. Hybrid working is on offer, with an opportunity to establish a leading practice and shape the team.

The role requires at least 8 years of PQE in contentious trusts and probate, a proven track record of generating work, and strong leadership abilities to mentor the current team and grow the department.

Qualifications

• 8+ years PQE in Contentious Trusts & Probate
• Proven track record of handling high-value, complex cases
• Established network and ability to generate own work
• Experience leading, mentoring and developing lawyers
• Excellent client relationship and business development skills
• Ambition and commercial acumen to grow a specialist team

Responsibilities

• Manage a varied caseload of high-value contentious probate matters.
• Generate own work and develop new business opportunities.
• Build and maintain strong client and professional relationships.
• Lead, supervise and mentor the existing CTP team.
• Develop the size and profile of the practice.
• Collaborate with Private Client and wider Litigation teams to maximise referrals.
• Establish and implement the strategic direction of the CTP practice.
