A mental health service provider in the UK is looking for a clinical leader for the Perinatal Community Mental Health Team. This role involves managing complex cases during the perinatal period, assessing risk, and leading a team of mental health professionals. The ideal candidate will hold a Medical Degree, GMC Registration, and access to the Specialist Register. This position offers full-time employment on a permanent contract with a competitive salary ranging from £109,725 to £145,478 annually.
Job summary
The Perinatal Service Cluster 3 has core work hours: Monday - Friday 9am - 5pm. Referrals can be discussed by phone during office hours 9am-5pm Monday - Friday. Outside of office hours, emergency referrals are handled via the acute pathway (Home Treatment Teams and Mental Health Liaison Teams). Referrers are professionals involved in the care of women who may need access to the Perinatal Service Cluster 3, including health visitors, GPs and midwives. The duty system ensures referrals are processed promptly. The Perinatal duty worker will be a band 6 or above who screens all referrals and discusses urgent or emergency referrals with the Clinical and Operational leads for allocation.
