Job description

Consultant in Emergency Medicine with Paediatric Emergency Medicine, Central London

We are seeking a qualified Consultant in Emergency Medicine with Paediatric Emergency Medicine for a prestigious NHS Trust in Central London. This role can be on a substantive or NHS fixed-term basis for 12 months, based in their busy A&E departments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct clinical care to patients presenting to the Emergency Departments.
• Act as team leader in acute resuscitation, managing major trauma, cardiac arrest, and other emergencies.
• Oversee management of clinical areas, supporting medical and nursing teams.
• Collaborate with nursing staff to ensure smooth department operations.
• Maintain high standards of clinical care, patient safety, and patient experience.
• Ensure care delivery aligns with national KPIs for Emergency Care.
• Recruit and train junior medical staff and other personnel.
• Develop quality improvement schemes, risk management, and conduct clinical audits.
