Conservation Architect Job in Winchester, Hampshire

A is now available with a well-established practice based in Winchester, Hampshire. This role offers the opportunity to work on a range of conservation projects, including ecclesiastical, historic palaces and some of the UK most well-known landmarks.

The practice has been established for over 80 years and has an eclectic portfolio of projects, including contemporary residential, both bespoke and developer-led, conservation, and specialist one-off projects. Due to the current work level, they are seeking a Conservation Architect to join their dedicated conservation team. The role would see you taking a lead role in several projects and developing long-term client relationships. This role would also offer long-term professional development within the practice for the right applicant.

Role & Responsibilities
  • Working on projects across all RIBA stages from concept to completion
  • Projects would include residential, landmark and ecclesiastical projects
  • Carrying out project research
  • Speaking directly with clients
  • Production of drawing packages
  • Carrying out site visits and surveys
  • Dealing with onsite issues as required.
Required Skills & Experience
  • RIBA Part III qualified (or equivalent) & ARB registered
  • AABC or RIBA Conservation Accreditation would be highly desirable
  • A minimum of 6 years’ experience post qualification working on UK conservation and historic building projects
  • Demonstrate a good eye for historic design, with a thorough understanding of contractual procedures
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD is essential
  • You must be in a commutable location or happy to relocate to the area.
