Job summary
Safran Seats is seeking a Configuration Manager to lead the Configuration Management System (CMS) and govern product, programme, and business configurations throughout their lifecycle. You will ensure CMS alignment with processes, QMS, and regulatory standards while driving standardisation of engineering change practices.
The role requires CMII Level 6 certification, CATIA V5/SmarTeam PLM experience, and aerospace or automotive background.
Qualifications
- Degree qualified in Mechanical, Aerospace, or Structural Engineering, or HNC/HND (or equivalent).
- CMII Level 6 Certified with strong configuration management principles.
- Proficient in CATIA V5, SmarTeam, and/or other PLM systems.
- Experience in Aerospace or Automotive industries, familiarity with DMU is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Lead, develop, and maintain the CMS, ensuring configuration control across lifecycle.
- Own and optimise engineering change control with effective Change Control Boards.
- Drive standardisation of configuration and change practices aligned with group processes.
- Produce and maintain CMS data and reports for programme and project needs.
- Support Windchill PLM deployment and optimisation.
