Job summary

Safran is hiring a Configuration Manager to lead the Configuration Management System (CMS) across product and programme lifecycles from its UK sites. You will ensure governance, traceability, and alignment with group processes, QMS, and regulatory standards while driving continuous improvement in engineering change control and CM reporting.

Ideal candidates possess CMII Level 6, CATIA V5/SmarTeam PLM experience, and aerospace qualifications; prior exposure to BMW/Airbus specs and DMU is

Qualifications

We are looking for a safety professional with aviation background and strong engineering design knowledge.
CMII Level 6 certification with configuration management principles.
Proficiency in CATIA V5, SmarTeam, or other PLM systems.
Experience in Aerospace or Automotive industries with DMU knowledge.
Familiarity with Boeing and Airbus specifications and requirements.
Strong knowledge of engineering release, change control, and approvals.

Responsibilities

Lead, develop, and maintain the CMS ensuring control, traceability, and governance of configurations.
Align CMS with Group/Branch processes, QMS, and regulatory standards.
Own and optimise change control processes and Change Control Boards.
Drive standardisation of configuration practices across groups.
Produce configuration management data and reports for lifecycle needs.
Support Windchill PLM deployment and optimise CMS foundations.
