Job summary

Safran in the UK is seeking a Configuration Manager to lead and maintain the SSGB Configuration Management System (CMS) across product and program lifecycles. You will own the engineering change control process, drive standardisation, and report KPI-driven governance to ensure compliance with group processes and regulatory standards.

The role requires CMII Level 6, CATIA V5/SmarTeam experience, and a background in aerospace or automotive engineering.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical, Aerospace or Structural Engineering, or equivalent
• CMII Level 6 certification is highly desirable
• Experience with PLM systems and engineering change processes required

Responsibilities

• Lead and continuously improve CMS to comply with organisational and regulatory requirements
• Own and optimise engineering change control with clear responsibilities and effective CCBs
• Drive standardisation of configuration and change practices across groups
• Produce and maintain configuration management data and reports for lifecycle needs
• Assess changes in business, customer, and industry requirements and implement process improvements
• Partner with Change and Programme Management to embed configuration control across programmes
