Job summary

Safran Seats in the UK is seeking a Configuration Manager to lead and maintain the CMS, ensuring traceability and governance of product configurations across life cycles. You will own the engineering change control process, drive standardisation, produce CM data and reports, and partner with Change and Programme Management to embed configuration control.

The role supports Windchill PLM deployment, works with aerospace industry standards, and requires CMII Level 6, CATIA V5, and experience in

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, or Structural Engineering, or HNC/HND with relevant experience.
• CMII Level 6 Certified or equivalent.
• Proficient in CATIA V5, SmarTeam, and/or other PLM systems.
• Experience in Aerospace or Automotive industries, including DMU knowledge.
• Familiarity with Boeing and Airbus specifications.
• Strong understanding of engineering release, change control, and approvals.
• Proven ability to apply CM principles in complex environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead and continuously improve the CMS, ensuring compliance with requirements and KPIs.
• Own and optimise the engineering change control process with clear responsibilities and governance.
• Drive standardisation of configuration and change practices across groups.
• Produce and maintain CM data and reports supporting lifecycle requirements.
• Assess changes and implement improvements to CM processes.
• Partner with Change and Programme Management to embed CM in delivery.
• Support Windchill PLM deployment and optimization for CM controls.
• Analyse CMS performance and implement efficiency improvements.
