Concrete Operatives

Outskirts of Newark, Mon – Fri, Full-time, £13.90 per hour

Temporary with the potential to become Permanent. Immediate start available.

Our client, based about 20 minutes from Newark, is looking for a concrete plant operative to work in their busy concrete plant. This is a hands‑on role producing concrete to meet customer specification and required technical standards. Working in a heavy plant environment, you will be involved in the process of preparing the moulds for the concrete pour, and must be able to read technical drawings.

Responsibilities
  • Produce concrete to meet customer specification and required technical standards.
  • Prepare moulds for the concrete pour.
  • Read and interpret technical drawings.
  • Operate and maintain heavy plant equipment in a busy plant environment.
  • Maintain Health, Safety & Environmental standards at all times.
  • Complete routine drugs and alcohol testing as required.
Qualifications
  • A good level of fitness; the role is physically demanding.
  • Flexible approach to work and a commitment to Health, Safety & Environment standards.
  • Previous experience in concrete or mortar production is beneficial.
  • Own transport required due to location.
  • Ability to perform routine on‑site drugs and alcohol testing.
