The Bedford Hotel Belfast invites you to join as a Concierge, delivering exceptional guest experiences from arrival to departure in our boutique setting in Belfast.

As the primary guest contact, you will assist with enquiries, coordinate services, and liaise with all departments to ensure seamless service. A strong hospitality background and UK driving licence are valued, with career development opportunities and a supportive team culture.

Qualifications

• Strong customer service experience within hospitality or guest-facing roles.
• Excellent communication skills and a friendly, professional manner.
• Genuine passion for delivering outstanding guest experiences.
• High attention to detail.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Good IT proficiency; familiarity with PMS systems is beneficial.
• Full and valid UK driving licence (at least 5 years).
• Knowledge of Belfast attractions and local services is desirable.
• Previous concierge or front-of-house hotel experience.

Responsibilities

• Welcome guests warmly and provide a personalised, professional first impression.
• Assist guests with enquiries including directions, transport, dining, and local attractions.
• Maintain sound knowledge of local area and events to help guests.
• Respond promptly to guest requests for seamless service from arrival to departure.
• Coordinate luggage handling, transportation, and taxi services.
• Support front-of-house operations and oversee smooth daily running.
• Liaise with Front Office, Housekeeping, Reservations, and Food & Beverage to coordinate needs.
• Escort VIP guests to rooms and welcome them to hotel facilities.
• Handle parcels, mail, courier requests, and deliveries.
• Manage calls and emails professionally; ensure GDPR compliance.
• Follow safety procedures and assist during evacuations.
• Provide valet parking services when required.
• Monitor for suspicious behavior and protect confidential guest information.
• Complete other tasks as delegated.

The Bedford Hotel Belfast is a prestigious boutique hotel set within the iconic Scottish Mutual Building in the heart of the city. With 82 beautifully appointed bedrooms, a destination restaurant, café/bar, and exclusive private dining room, The Bedford Hotel Belfast is setting new standards for hospitality in Northern Ireland.

Role Responsibilities

As a Concierge at The Bedford Hotel, you will play a key role in delivering an exceptional guest experience from the moment they arrive until their departure. You will act as the primary point of contact for guests, providing personalised assistance and ensuring all their needs are met with professionalism and care.

Your responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

• Welcome guests warmly and provide a personalised, professional first impression.
• Assist guests with all enquiries including directions, transport, dining, entertainment, and local attractions.
• Ensure you have a sound knowledge of the local area regarding history, places of interest, special events, and where further information can be obtained.
• Respond promptly to guest requests, ensuring seamless service from arrival to departure.
• Coordinateluggage handling, transportation, and taxi services.
• Support front-of-house operations and ensuresmooth daily running.
• Liaise with Front Office, Housekeeping, Reservations, and Food & Beverage departments to coordinate guest needs.
• Escort VIP guests to their rooms, providing a personalised introduction to hotel facilities.
• Manage and track guest parcels, mail, courier requests, and important package deliveries.
• Handle calls, emails, and internal communications professionally.
• Ensure all procedures and day-to-day performance comply with legislative and hotel guidelines.
• Follow all safety and emergency procedures, assist guests during evacuations or emergency events.
• Provide valet parking services as and when required.
• Maintain awareness of suspicious behaviour or unauthorised individuals in public spaces.
• Secure confidential guest information in line with GDPR and hotel policy.
• Complete any other reasonable tasks as delegated by your Line Manager.

Key Requirements

• Strong customer service experience within hospitality or a similar guest-facing role.
• Excellent communication skills and a friendly, professional manner.
• A genuine passion for delivering outstanding guest experiences.
• High attention to detail.
• The ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Good IT proficiency (PMS systems experience beneficial).
• A full and valid UK driving licence, for at least five years.
• Knowledge of the local area, attractions, and services (desirable).
• Previous concierge or front-of-house hotel experience.
