Job summary

The Bedford Hotel Belfast, a boutique hotel in the heart of Belfast, is seeking a Night Manager to lead overnight operations and ensure exceptional guest service. You will supervise the Night Team, manage night audits, and uphold security and smooth handovers between shifts.

Ideal candidates will have hotel management or supervisory night experience, strong leadership and communication skills, and the ability to work independently on a rota including weekends. PMS experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in hotel management or a supervisory night role.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Excellent customer service and problem-solving abilities.
• Good understanding of hotel systems and night audit procedures (PMS experience preferred).
• Able to work independently and reliably.
• Willingness to work night shifts on a rota, including weekends.

Responsibilities

• Overseeing all night operations, ensuring smooth handover between day and night teams.
• Leading and supporting the Night Team, maintaining morale and efficiency.
• Providing a warm and professional welcome to all guests, handling check-ins and late enquiries.
• Ensuring safety and security of guests, staff and property with regular checks.
• Managing cash handling, night audit procedures, and recording financials.
• Conducting daily security and fire safety checks per HS regulations.
• Coordinating with departments for next-day readiness.
• Handling incidents calmly and following company policy.
• Supporting food and beverage service overnight where necessary.

With 82 beautifully appointed bedrooms, a destination restaurant, café/bar, and exclusive private dining room. The Bedford Hotel Belfast is setting new standards for hospitality in Northern Ireland.

Role Responsibilities

As Night Manager, you’ll take charge of the hotel’s overnight operations, ensuring that guests receive exceptional service and that the hotel remains secure and efficiently run.

• Providing a warm and professional welcome to all guests, handling check-ins, check-outs, and any late night enquiries or issues.
• Ensuring the safety and security of guests, staff, and property through regular checks and adherence to company procedures.
• Managing cash handling, night audit procedures, and accurate recording of financial transactions.
• Conducting daily security and fire safety checks, ensuring compliance with all H&S regulations.
• Coordinating with departments to ensure the hotel is ready for the next day’s operations.
• Handling any incidents or emergencies calmly and efficiently, following company policy.
• Supporting food and beverage service overnight where necessary.

Key Requirements

• Previous experience in hotel management or a supervisory night role within the hospitality industry.
• Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and support a small team.
• Excellent customer service and problem-solving abilities,alwaysmaintainingprofessionalism.
• Good understanding of hotel systems and night audit procedures (PMS experience preferred).
• Ability to work independently, showing initiative and reliability.
• Flexibility to work night shifts on a rota basis, including weekends.
