Job summary

The Bedford Hotel Belfast, a boutique hotel in the heart of Belfast, is seeking a Concierge to deliver an exceptional guest experience from arrival to departure.

You will be the primary contact for guests, assisting with enquiries, coordinating services and liaising with Front Office, Housekeeping, Reservations and Food & Beverage to ensure seamless service. The role offers a competitive salary and opportunities for development.

Qualifications

• Strong customer service experience within hospitality or a guest-facing role.
• Excellent communication skills and a friendly, professional manner.
• A genuine passion for delivering outstanding guest experiences.
• High attention to detail.
• The ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Good IT proficiency, PMS experience beneficial.
• A full and valid UK driving licence, for at least five years.
• Knowledge of local area, attractions, and services (desirable).
• Previous concierge or front-of-house hotel experience.

The Bedford Hotel Belfast is a prestigious boutique hotel set within the iconic Scottish Mutual Building in the heart of the city. With 82 beautifully appointed bedrooms, a destination restaurant, café/bar, and exclusive private dining room, The Bedford Hotel Belfast is setting new standards for hospitality in Northern Ireland.

Role Responsibilities

As a Concierge at The Bedford Hotel, you will play a key role in delivering an exceptional guest experience from the moment they arrive until their departure. You will act as the primary point of contact for guests, providing personalised assistance and ensuring all their needs are met with professionalism and care.

Your responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

• Welcome guests warmly and provide a personalised, professional first impression.
• Assist guests with all enquiries including directions, transport, dining, entertainment, and local attractions.
• Ensure you have a sound knowledge of the local area regarding history, places of interest, special events, and where further information can be obtained.
• Respond promptly to guest requests, ensuring seamless service from arrival to departure.
• Coordinateluggage handling, transportation, and taxi services.
• Support front-of-house operations and ensuresmooth daily running.
• Liaise with Front Office, Housekeeping, Reservations, and Food & Beverage departments to coordinate guest needs.
• Escort VIP guests to their rooms, providing a personalised introduction to hotel facilities.
• Manage and track guest parcels, mail, courier requests, and important package deliveries.
• Handle calls, emails, and internal communications professionally.
• Ensure all procedures and day-to-day performance comply with legislative and hotel guidelines.
• Follow all safety and emergency procedures, assist guests during evacuations or emergency events.
• Provide valet parking services as and when required.
• Maintain awareness of suspicious behaviour or unauthorised individuals in public spaces.
• Secure confidential guest information in line with GDPR and hotel policy.
• Complete any other reasonable tasks as delegated by your Line Manager.

Key Requirements
