Job summary

Cadillac Formula 1 Team is seeking a Composite Trim and Assembly Technician to finish composite components and prepare them for assembly. You will trim, sand and prepare parts, adhering to strict quality standards and safety protocols in a fast-paced environment.

Experience in composite trimming within F1/motorsport or aerospace is preferred, with the ability to read engineering drawings and work with hand and power tools. Training and development are offered as part of a diverse, inclusive team.

• Ability to read engineering drawings.
• Methodical and thorough approach with great attention to detail.
• Proficiency with hand and power tools used in composite trimming.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality work.
• Teamwork and clear communication.
• Experience in fast-paced, dynamic environments with flexibility during busy periods.
• Experience assembling Class A components whilst following QA documentation and processes.
• In-line inspection/scanning experience desirable.
• Proactive problem solving and willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

As a Composite Trim and Assembly Technician at Cadillac Formula 1 Team, you will play a crucial role in the finishing processes of composite components. You will be responsible for trimming, sanding, and preparing components for assembly, ensuring that all work is completed to the highest quality standards. This position requires attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship.

• Trim and finish composite components according to engineering specifications and quality standards
• Utilize hand and power tools effectively and safely during the trimming process
• Inspect finished components for defects, ensuring compliance with quality requirements
• Collaborate with assembly and production teams to ensure timely workflow
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to safety protocols
• Assist in identifying areas for improvement in the trimming process
• Participate in training and development to enhance technical skills related to composite trimming and assembly

What do we need from you?

• Experience in composite trimming/Fitting, preferably within the F1/motorsport or aerospace sectors
• Ability to read and engineering drawings

• Experience of assembling Class A components while following QA documentation and company processes
• Experience of in line inspection/scanning would be desirable
