Job summary

Rolls-Royce Bristol invites applications for a Manufacturing Engineer in the Composite Technology Facility to develop manufacturing methods for composite fan blades and containment casings. The role is onsite at Filton, part of the UltraFan programme, with collaboration across internal teams and external suppliers.

You will drive cost and quality improvements, manage supplier approvals, and help industrialize processes while supporting travel to partner sites as needed.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree or HND/HNC with manufacturing engineering experience.
• Understanding of relevant manufacturing engineering processes.
• Experience with supplier management in aerospace or similar industry.
• Knowledge of manufacturing capability development and TRL.
• Ability to apply analytical thinking and balance technical and business decisions.
• Strong teamwork and influencing skills.

Responsibilities

• Build relationships with the CTF supply chain and manage progress reviews.
• Resolve technical issues in the supply chain and lead problem resolution.
• Oversee supplier approvals via SABRe, ARIS docs, and SPG processes.
• Drive supply-chain processes to zero defects during UltraFan programme.
• Identify opportunities for new or improved processes and share best practices.
• Manage hardware from delivery to consumption in manufacturing method; resolve NCRs.
