Job summary

Rolls-Royce Bristol is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to join the Composite Technology Facility (CTF) on the Filton site, onsite. The role centers on delivering assembly processes for composite components—from fan blades to structures—supporting the UltraFan programme with close collaboration across Design, Technical, Operations and Quality teams.

You will drive process maturity, develop equipment specifications, PFMEAs, tooling and HSE documentation, and work toward zero-defects production

Qualifications

Engineering degree or equivalent with Manufacturing Engineering experience.
Knowledge of composite processes techniques/adhesive bonding and tooling design.
Understanding of technology readiness levels (TRL) and driving processes to maturity.
Familiarity with manufacturing engineering toolset and process improvement.
Experience with aerospace management systems and process controls.

Responsibilities

Deliver assembly processes for composite components from fan blades to structures.
Ensure assembly techniques meet Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery and Lead time requirements.
Develop the Technical Package (Equipment Spec, TI's, PFMEAs, Tooling, Equipment, HSE docs).
Identify opportunities for new or improved process using statistical methods to meet requirements.
Drive the composite assembly process to Zero Defects, manage the technology plan and strategy.
