Job summary

Rolls-Royce is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer for the Composite Technology Facility in Bristol. You will build relationships with the supply chain, lead problem resolution, and drive zero-defects through industrialization phases of the UltraFan programme.

The role requires an engineering degree or HND/HNC with manufacturing experience, knowledge of aerospace processes, and strong analytical and collaborative skills. Security clearance may be required.

Qualifications

• An Engineering or relevant discipline degree, HND or HNC with Manufacturing Engineering experience.
• General understanding of relevant manufacturing engineering processes relevant to the role.
• Experience with supplier management and working within an aerospace management system.
• Understanding of manufacturing capability development processes TRL and manufacturing engineering toolset.
• Ability to apply logical, analytical, and innovative thinking on technical problems and make balanced decisions across technical and business parameters.
• Good teamwork and influencing skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Build working relationships with the CTF supply chain and hold regular reviews to confirm progress.
• Resolve technical issues and challenges within the CTF supply-chain.
• Lead problem resolution across suppliers using the supplier management system and escalate delays.
• Oversee SABRe approvals, ARIS documentation releases, and SPG approvals for special processes.
• Drive zero-defects through cost and quality waterfalls in UltraFan industrialization phases.
• Identify opportunities for new or improved processes and share best practices with suppliers.
