Job summary

Rolls-Royce in Bristol is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to join the Composite Technology Facility team. The role focuses on developing manufacturing methods, processes and materials for composite fan blades and containment casings, including work on the UltraFan demonstrator, with hands-on involvement in the Mk2 Engine Architecture.

You will collaborate with internal and external suppliers, travel as needed, and contribute to the industrialization phase of the UltraFan Programme while

Qualifications

• Engineering or relevant discipline degree, HND or HNC with Manufacturing Engineering experience.
• Experience with supplier management and an aerospace management system.
• Understanding of manufacturing capability development processes (TRL) and tooling.
• Ability to apply logical, analytical, and innovative thinking on technical problems and balanced decisions.
• Good teamwork and influencing skills.

Responsibilities

• Build a working relationship with the CTFs supply chain and hold regular progress reviews.
• Oversee supplier processes including metalwork assemblies, titanium treatment, and priming.
• Resolve technical issues within the supply chain and lead cross-supplier problem resolution.
• Lead supplier management using the SABRe and ARIS systems and approve special processes.
• Drive supply-chain processes toward Zero Defects during UltraFan programme industrialization.
• Identify opportunities for new or improved processes for current and future needs.
• Share best practices with suppliers to ensure value for Rolls-Royce.
