Job summary

Rolls-Royce Bristol Composite Technology Facility (CTF) is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to develop manufacturing methods, processes and materials for composite fan blades and containment casings. The role supports the UltraFan Programme and Mk2 Engine Architecture, working in Bristol on the Filton site with internal and external suppliers, including some travel.

You will build relationships with supply chain, resolve technical issues, and drive processes to improve quality and efficiency

Qualifications

• An Engineering or relevant discipline degree, HND or HNC with Manufacturing Engineering experience.
• General understanding of relevant manufacturing engineering processes.
• Experience with supplier management and working within an aerospace management system.
• Understanding of manufacturing capability development processes TRL and manufacturing engineering toolset.
• Ability to apply analytical thinking and balanced decision-making across technical and business parameters.
• Good team working skills and ability to influence are essential.

Responsibilities

• Build a working relationship with the CTFs supply chain and hold regular progress reviews with suppliers.
• Resolve technical issues and drive problem resolution to prevent programme delays.
• Oversee supplier approvals and release of fixed process documentation.
• Drive supply-chain processes toward zero defects in the UltraFan programme.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and share best practices with suppliers.
• Manage hardware received into the CTF up to its use in manufacturing methods.
