Job summary

Keoghs is recruiting a Complex Injury Paralegal to join the Manchester team, reporting to the Lead Lawyer. The role supports a small team on RTA large loss and complex injury cases valued from £100k to £1M.

Key duties include preparing court documents, liaising with experts and insurers, managing conferencing and hearing tasks, and maintaining case records and medical documentation. Ideal candidates have paralegal experience in personal injury and a keen eye for detail.

Qualifications

• Good telephone and communication skills with people at all levels inside and outside the business.
• Ability to organise and prioritise tasks using initiative.
• Calm under pressure with the ability to re-prioritise and delegate effectively when required.
• Attention to detail when dealing with repetitive tasks.

Responsibilities

• Prepare basic court documents, file and serve court documents, and diarise court orders and hearing dates.
• Liaise with experts and counsel regarding CVs, fees and availability for conferences, JSMs and hearings.
• Liaise with insureds and witnesses regarding attendance at conferences, JSMs and hearings, and draft witness summons.
• Register and update CRU, notify CRU of settlements.
• Maintain experts summaries, interim payment records, and offer history in the case management system.
• Arrange appointments for claimants to see medical experts and chase reports.
