Job summary

Keoghs is seeking a Large Loss Lawyer to join the Complex Injury team in Southampton (flexible across Keoghs offices). You will manage high-value EL/PL and RTA claims, support senior lawyers on complex matters, and work closely with insurer clients to shape strategy and outcomes.

The role offers a pathway to Senior Associate level with a focus on developing specialist expertise in large loss litigation within a market-leading defendant insurance practice.

Qualifications

• Qualified Solicitor, CILEX Lawyer or equivalent defendant injury litigation experience.
• Experience handling injury claims valued at £500,000+.

Responsibilities

• Manage your own EL/PL & RTA caseload of high-value multi-track injury claims.
• Assist on complex and higher-value RTA/EL/PL claims, including catastrophic injuries exceeding £1 million.
• Advise insurer clients on liability, quantum, indemnity and litigation strategy.
• Draft pleadings, defences and technical legal advice.
• Work with experts, counsel and insurer clients to achieve best outcomes.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships and mentor junior team members.
