Complex Care Maternity Support Worker – Community Midwifery

We have an exciting opportunity for a Complex Care Maternity Support Worker (MSW) to join our dedicated Community Midwifery Team, providing compassionate, high‑quality care to women and families in the Thurrock area.

The role is part of a multi‑disciplinary team and focuses on supporting vulnerable women and families, including those who may face language or cultural barriers to accessing maternity care.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting midwives in delivering integrated maternity services during pregnancy and the postnatal period.
  • Co‑ordinating with community and hospital‑based services to enhance care for women and their families.
  • Acting as a key point of contact for advice and sign‑posting.
  • Providing information and education on infant feeding, antenatal and postnatal care, maternal health during pregnancy, and navigating hospital‑based maternity services.
