Job summary

Goddard Veterinary Group's Wanstead Veterinary Hospital is seeking a friendly, organised receptionist to welcome clients and their pets, answer calls, book appointments and process payments in a busy hospital setting.

The role offers a 40-hour week with four 10-hour shifts for the full-time post, plus a 1-in-3 weekend rota. You will support the clinical team and help keep day-to-day operations running smoothly.

Qualifications

• Ideally, you'll have some previous reception or customer service experience and feel comfortable communicating with a wide range of people.
• Veterinary reception experience would be an advantage, but transferable customer service skills are also welcome.

Responsibilities

• Welcoming clients and their pets to the hospital and helping them feel at ease.
• Answering telephone calls and responding to client enquiries.
• Booking appointments and supporting the day-to-day running of the reception desk.
• Processing payments and keeping client records up to date.
• Liaising with vets, nurses and other colleagues to ensure clients receive a helpful and efficient service.
• Supporting clients with empathy and understanding, particularly when they may be worried about their pets.
