Job summary

Oak Veterinary Group in Fishguard is seeking an experienced Receptionist to join our Support Team. You will be the first point of contact, delivering a welcoming and professional client journey while supporting the Clinical Team.

Hours are around 37.5 per week, with weekend rota at other practices. You will manage appointments, client data, payments, and basic administration, working with a friendly, collaborative team at our Fishguard Practice.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent client care with a welcoming, professional approach.
• Manage bookings and record client data in the Practice Management System.
• Register clients and maintain confidentiality.
• Process client payments and follow up as needed.
• Support prescription preparation for clients.
• Assist with debtor reports and pet health plan administration.
• Handle insurance claims and related admin tasks.
• Maintain waiting areas and treatment rooms, and assist with premises tasks.
• Stock management including receiving orders and storage.
• Interact confidently with domestic pets.
