Job summary

Advance Housing and Support in Bournemouth is seeking a dedicated Support Worker to help people with learning disabilities, autism and mental health needs live the lives they choose. This role involves 37.5 contracted hours per week across days, evenings, weekends and sleep-ins, with full training and ongoing support provided.

You don’t need prior care experience; what matters is your values, care, and ability to document care plans and records accurately.

Qualifications

• Values, passion and determination to make a difference in lives of people with autism or learning disabilities.
• Ability to work both independently and within a team.
• Willingness to complete quality support records and care planning.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with personal care and hygiene (if required).
• Medication administration (if required).
• Support with preparing and cooking meals.
• Support with attending medical appointments.
• Support with social activities and independent skills.
• Domestic duties such as cleaning and laundry.
• Maintain and update care plans and records.
• Keep up to date with training.
