Qualifications

• Experience working with children in a classroom or similar setting.
• Evidence of professional growth through training in academic, SEND and social & emotional areas.

Responsibilities

• Core functions include Teaching and Learning: support literacy, numeracy or science to aid student learning.
• Monitor and record student progress and report as directed.
• Use ICT to support learning.
• Work with small groups or individuals to enable learning.
• Assist the teacher on off-site activities.
• Contribute to curriculum and classroom planning and team collaboration.
• Promote wellbeing, behaviour and personal development of students.
• Support students’ resilience and independence; know students’ medical needs and refer issues to relevant staff.
