Job summary

Wymondham College Prep School is looking to appoint a highly committed, enthusiastic and compassionate individual with energy and interest in working with whole classes of children and in small groups or 1:2:1 capacity, intervening to close gaps in subject knowledge and developing core skills.

The school is committed to staff professional development and provides a safe, supportive environment. The role will support the professional work of teachers as directed.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience working with children, preferably primary school age, in a classroom or similar environment.
  • Committed to the school’s high standards of teaching, learning and professional development.
  • Eager to learn, develop and grow to become an exceptional practitioner.
  • Excellent communication skills, warm and caring disposition and good sense of humour.

  • Salary: SCP 4-6: £17,558 - £18,447 p/a pro-rata (£25,185 to £25,989 p/a)
  • Permanent
  • Full Time
  • 30 hrs per week (5 days per week)
  • Term Time +1 Week (39 weeks)
  • Start date: as soon as possible

Qualifications
  • Previous experience working with children, preferably primary school age, in a classroom or similar environment and evidence of professional growth through training in a range of academic, SEND and social & emotional areas of child development.
  • Committed to the school’s high standards of teaching, learning and professional development.
  • Eager to learn, develop and grow to become an exceptional practitioner.
  • Excellent communication skills, warm and caring disposition and good sense of humour.
  • Understanding of an inclusive environment, supporting pupils to follow the school’s Good Choice Mantras – “Do the Right Thing / Make a Difference / Value Every Voice”.
