Job summary

Cygnet Kenney House, a hospital for women in Oldham, is seeking a confident Receptionist with a passion for delivering outstanding service. You’ll work 42 hours per week on a rota covering 6am–2pm and 1pm–9pm, which may include weekends.

As a receptionist/administrator, you’ll greet visitors, answer calls, manage sign-in/out, sort post, keep the area tidy, and help maintain site safety. GCSE maths and English, strong communication, and computer skills are expected.

Qualifications

• Experienced receptionist/administrator who can liaise with visitors.
• Organised, helpful, and able to multitask.
• Computer literate (Windows/Word/Excel/Outlook).
• Knowledgeable of telephone systems.
• Polite, friendly, and excellent communicator.
• GCSE Maths and English qualifications with good numeracy.
• Diligent, accurate, and confidentiality aware.

Responsibilities

• Provide a professional, welcoming reception experience.
• Greet visitors and notify staff on arrival.
• Ensure visitors sign in/out and patients are recorded on departure/return.
• Answer and transfer calls and take messages.
• Sort and distribute post and assist with general office duties.
• Keep reception area clean and tidy.
• Promote safety and security, ensuring staff comply with security protocols.
