Job summary

East of England Co-operative Society Limited is recruiting a Funeral Co-ordinator to act as the main point of contact for clients, families and local communities across the East of England.

The role involves advising on funeral services, pre-payment plans, collaboration with Funeral Directors and third parties, plus handling admin tasks and supporting local projects. A compassionate, professional approach and good IT skills are essential.

• Experience with administration and IT literacy.

Responsibilities

• Provide a professional service to clients, advising on funeral services, pre-payment plans, masonry and ancillary services.
• Coordinate funerals, liaising with Funeral Directors and third parties (e.g. Crematorium, Minister).
• Complete all required administration tasks including financial and statutory procedures.
• Inform clients about after-care services and bereavement support groups.
• Responsible for the overall standard, service and compliance of the branch.
• Coordinate and support chapel visits in-branch or at the local Chapel of Rest.
• Engage with local communities and stakeholders, supporting local projects and initiatives.
