Job summary

CTRG is recruiting a Funeral Care Centre Assistant in Plymouth, PL7 1SR. You will support our Funeralcare operations, prepare coffins, clean vehicles, and assist in housekeeping with compassion and professionalism.

Requirements include a Full UK driving license, strong communication, teamwork, and the ability to handle heavy lifting. The role offers weekday shifts, a competitive hourly rate, and opportunities to support clients in their time of need.

Qualifications

• Full UK manual driving license required.
• Strong communication skills and team player mindset.
• Good literacy, numeracy and IT skills when required.
• Willingness to learn new skills and approaches.
• Ability to carry out heavy lifting and manual handling safely.
• Discretion and empathy in sensitive situations.

Responsibilities

• Clean Funeralcare vehicles daily, including polish and wax.
• Move ceremonial vehicles within Care Centre grounds (no public road driving).
• Assist housekeeping in public and private areas and report maintenance.
• Fully prepare coffins of various types.
• Handle floral tributes with care.
• Report to Care Logistics Management and follow instructions.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety requirements.
