The Lodging House Mission in Glasgow is seeking a Client Support Worker to join our DayCentre team. You will build trust with clients, provide practical and emotional support, and help access housing, health, and benefits services in a busy Day Centre.

The role focuses on compassionate, non-judgemental support, safeguarding, and collaborative teamwork to improve wellbeing and social inclusion for people experiencing homelessness.

Qualifications

• Experience of supporting people affected by homelessness, poverty and social exclusion.
• Confident and sensitive communication with people from diverse backgrounds.
• Understanding of safeguarding, confidentiality and professional boundaries.
• Ability to remain calm and make sound decisions in challenging situations.
• Compassionate, non-judgemental approach with clear professional boundaries.
• Willingness to work as part of a team and independently when needed.

Responsabilités

• Build positive, trusting relationships with clients.
• Provide practical and emotional support to clients.
• Help clients access housing, health, wellbeing, benefits and other services.
• Encourage client participation, confidence, and skill development.
• Respond to challenging situations with dignity and professionalism.
• Maintain accurate records and work with colleagues and external partners.
• Support clients to engage in activities that promote wellbeing and social connection.
