Job summary

HRM Homecare Services in Glasgow North West is seeking compassionate Support Workers to provide personal care and support to clients in their own homes, promoting independence and dignity.

You'll work across communities around Anderson, Scotstoun and surrounding areas, with full training provided and flexible weekend/evening shifts. PVG check required; Part time or full time roles available.

Qualifications

• Experience in a care role is desirable but not essential; full training provided.
• Compassionate, patient and respectful attitude towards clients.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills are important.
• Willingness to undertake training and development; PVG check required.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care and assistance with daily living activities (bathing, dressing, eating, medication support).
• Support clients to engage in meaningful activities and community involvement.
• Maintain accurate records and report changes in clients' needs or well-being.
• Work with healthcare professionals and family to ensure coordinated care.
• Promote a safe and comfortable environment for clients.

HRM Homecare Services is seeking compassionate and dedicated Support Workers to join our team in Glasgow North West

The Support Worker role involves providing essential care and support to individuals within their own homes, promoting independence, dignity, and quality of life.

Support workers are based in the communities in and around Anderson, Yorkshill, Hillhead, Partick, Kelvindale, Victoria Park, Gascadden, Scotstoun, Annieland, Drumchapel and surrounding areas.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide personal care and assistance with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, eating, and medication support
• Support clients to engage in meaningful activities and community involvement
• Maintain accurate records and report any changes in clients' needs or well-being
• Work collaboratively with healthcare professionals and family members to ensure coordinated care delivery
• Promote a safe and comfortable environment for clients

Essential Requirements:

• Previous experience in a support or care role is desirable but not essential as full training will be provided
• Compassionate, patient, and respectful attitude towards clients
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Flexible approach to working hours, including availability for some weekends and evenings
• Willingness to undertake training and development
• Disclosure Scotland (PVG) Check will be required

Desirable:

• Qualification in health and social care is advantageous
• Knowledge of care standards and legislation
