Job summary

Southern Housing is seeking a compassionate care worker to provide person-centred support across our schemes and community. You will follow individual care plans, helping residents live independently with dignity and choice.

You will join a supportive team, cover evenings/weekends as needed, and may undertake sleep-ins or on-call duties in line with service needs. DBS check required.

Qualifications

Minimum 5 GCSEs (or equivalent) including Maths and English
Willingness to work towards NVQ Level 2 in Care (or equivalent)
No prior experience required; full training and support provided

Responsibilities

Provide care and support in line with individual care plans
Promote independence, dignity and inclusion
Work flexibly across evenings, weekends, and on-call rotas
Attend to moving and handling tasks when required
Maintain accurate records and reports
