Job summary

Southern Housing is seeking a Care & Support Worker to join our team across the Isle of Wight, including Ryde and Freshwater. This 35-hour-per-week role focuses on delivering person-centred support to residents with varied needs in our housing schemes and in the community.

You’ll work with a compassionate team, follow individual care plans, and maintain safeguarding standards. DBS checks are required; training will be provided, with shift flexibility including evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 5 GCSEs (or equivalent) including Maths and English.
• Willingness to work towards an NVQ Level 2 in Care (or equivalent).
• No previous experience is required - full training and support provided.

Responsibilities

• Provide care and support across housing schemes, extra care services and community settings.
• Deliver person-centred care in line with individual care plans.
• Promote independence, dignity, choice and inclusion for residents.
• Work flexibly with evenings, weekends, sleep-in duties and on-call rotas.
