Job summary

Southern Housing is seeking a caring and positive Care & Support Worker to join our team. The role involves delivering personalised, high-quality support to residents across our schemes and in the community, with a focus on independence, dignity and inclusion.

You will work 25 hours per week, across evenings and weekends, and may undertake sleep-in duties or on-call rotas. Training will be provided, and DBS checks are completed as part of safer recruitment.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 GCSEs including Maths and English.
• Willingness to work towards NVQ Level 2 in Care (or equivalent).
• No prior experience required – full training and support provided.
• Successful candidates subject to Enhanced DBS check.

Responsibilities

• Provide care and support in line with individual care plans.
• Deliver care across supported housing schemes, extra care services and community.
• Assist with moving and handling tasks and respond calmly in emergencies.
• Work evenings, weekends, sleep-in duties and on-call rosters as required.
