Job summary

Southern Housing is seeking a Care & Support Worker for Green Meadows, Freshwater, on a 25-hour-per-week basis. You will deliver personalised care across housing schemes and in the community, following individual care plans to promote independence, dignity and inclusion.

The role requires flexibility to work evenings and weekends, with on-call rotas and potential sleep-in duties. Successful candidates will join a supportive team and receive full training, with Enhanced DBS checks.

• An understanding of safeguarding responsibilities, with confidence following procedures and reporting concerns

• The physical ability to undertake moving and handling tasks
• Basic IT skills to maintain accurate records and reports
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, sleep in duties and on call rotas

Responsibilities

• Deliver care across our supported housing schemes, extra care services and in the local community
• Provide care and support in line with individual care plans to promote independence
• Help residents live with dignity, choice and inclusion
• Be adaptable to evenings, weekends, sleep in duties and on-call rotas
• Move and handle tasks and respond calmly in emergencies
• Maintain accurate records and reports with basic IT skills
