Job summary

Southern Housing is seeking a Care & Support Worker in Ryde to provide person-centred care across supported housing schemes and the local community. The role involves flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, and may include sleep-in duties or on-call rotas. You will help residents live independently with dignity, choice and inclusion.

16. The position requires moving and handling, safeguarding awareness and the ability to work as part of a supportive team.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 GCSEs (or equivalent) including Maths and English.
• Willingness to work towards an NVQ Level 2 in Care (or equivalent).
• No previous experience is required - full training and support will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Provide care and support in line with individual care plans.
• Support residents across housing schemes and in the local community.
• Promote dignity, choice and inclusion in all interactions.
• Assist with moving and handling and respond calmly in emergencies.
• Complete accurate records and reports.
