Job summary

Turning Point UK is seeking dedicated Support Workers to assist adults with learning disabilities in a 24-hour care environment. You will provide personal care, support with meals, medications, and daily activities, while maintaining accurate records and liaising with landlords for tenancy matters.

Applicants must be passionate, flexible, patient, and able to communicate well, including non-verbal cues. A valid driver’s license is required to be considered for this role.

Qualifications

• Must have a driver's license with access to a vehicle.
• Demonstrated passion, caring, and enthusiasm for supporting adults.
• Flexible, patient, and non-judgemental attitude essential.
• Strong communication skills including understanding non-verbal cues.
• Experience transferring skills to help people manage anxiety is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Assist with personal care.
• Prepare meals or assist with meal times.
• Support with food and drinks and manual handling.
• Assist with medications including creams and lotions.
• Maintain high-standard record keeping including finances.
• Help manage money safely.
• Keep home clean and tidy.
• Ensure health and safety is maintained.
• Provide varied daily activities and liaise with landlord for tenancies/repairs.
