Job summary

Turning Point UK is seeking a compassionate Support Worker to help adults with Learning Disabilities live more independently in a 24-hour supported living service in Peterborough. No prior LD experience needed as training is provided, with a strong focus on person-centred care and daily living activities.

You must be a driver to be considered. The role involves personal care, medication support, and manual handling, with shift patterns across early, late and sleep-ins.

Qualifications

• Care about people; training provided for Learning Disabilities is not required.
• Must be passionate, caring and enthusiastic.
• Flexible, patient, non-judgemental; good communicator.

Responsibilities

• Encouraging and promoting independence.
• Supporting daily activities including personal care and meals.
• PEG feeding/flushing and following health professional guidance.
• Assist with mobility, risk assessments and safety.
• Manual handling and hoisting support.
• Medication support and keeping accurate records using digital system.
