Job summary

Southern Housing is seeking a Care & Support Worker to join our team at Furze Brake, Newport, Isle of Wight. This 28-hour-per-week role offers a pro-rata salary of £19,583 per annum, with benefits, and may involve evenings and weekends, sleep-in duties and on-call rotas.

You will provide care across our supported housing schemes and within the local community, following individual care plans to support residents to live as independently as possible.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 GCSEs (or equivalent) including Maths and English
• Willingness to work towards an NVQ Level 2 in Care (or equivalent)
• No previous experience required - full training and support provided.

Responsibilities

• Deliver care and support in line with individual care plans, promoting independence, choice and inclusion
• Work across supported housing schemes, extra care services and the community
• Provide compassionate, person-centred care in a CQC regulated environment
• Be flexible with evenings, weekends, sleep-in duties and on-call rotas
• Maintain accurate records and reports using basic IT skills
