HC-One is seeking a Kitchen Assistant to support high-quality care homes by preparing and serving nutritious meals with kindness. You will help with meal prep under supervision, maintain hygiene, monitor storage temperatures, and assist in stock rotation while upholding residents' dignity and comfort.

Applicants should have some kitchen experience, be willing to pursue NVQ2 in Catering or Food Preparation, and demonstrate patience, respect, and genuine kindness toward residents and colleagues.

Qualifications

• Kitchens experience preferred and a passion for helping others.
• Willingness to work towards NVQ2 in Catering or Food Preparation.
• Applicants must be able to work in the UK and comply with safeguarding requirements.

Responsabilités

• Assist with meal preparation under supervision of Chef or Cook.
• Serve meals warmly and promptly with respect.
• Maintain kitchen cleanliness and hygiene of equipment and surfaces.
• Monitor and record food storage temperatures.
• Support stock rotation and proper storage of ingredients.
• Train new team members on kitchen practices.
• Wash up and keep the kitchen tidy after busy shifts.
