Job summary

HC-One is seeking a Kitchen Assistant to support our dementia, nursing, residential and specialist care homes. You will help prepare and serve nutritious meals, ensuring dignity and well-being of Residents.

Role requires some kitchen experience, a willingness to work toward NVQ2, and strong organisational skills. We offer full training, flexible development, and several employee benefits including DBS/PVG clearance support and a pension plan.

Qualifications

• Some kitchen experience and a willingness to work towards NVQ2.
• Good organisational skills and ability to follow recipes.

Responsibilities

• Assist with meal preparation under supervision.
• Serve meals with warmth and respect.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen.
• Monitor food storage temperatures and rotations.
• Support stock rotation and safe storage of ingredients.
• Help train new team members on kitchen equipment.
