Qualifications

• Genuine interest in working within a caring environment.
• Ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
• Team player with collaborative mindset.
• Willingness to participate in Vocational Training Programmes.
• Satisfactory Police Check and check against the POVA List (where applicable).
• Relevant Vocational Qualification (achieved/working towards).
• Experience of caring for elderly people or in a care home setting.

Responsibilities

• Care: assist with daily living activities and support comfort and well-being.
• Support physical, emotional and spiritual care needs with sensitivity.
• Assist residents with mobility or use of aids.
• Monitor residents for confusion or behavioural issues.
• Promote continence and dignity in care.
• Assist with end-of-life care and last offices when required.
• Document daily care records per policy.
• Support social activities and residents' hobbies.
• Answer Nursecall, door and telephone; relay messages.
