Job summary

Hill Care Ltd. is seeking a compassionate Care Assistant to support residents in our Residential home. You will help with daily living activities, ensuring comfort and well-being with a strong emphasis on dignity and respect.

The role requires genuine interest in care, good communication, and teamwork. A police check and POVA screening where applicable are part of the requirements. Training opportunities provided.

Qualifications

• Genuine interest in working within a caring environment.
• Clear ability to communicate at all levels.
• Team player with collaborative approach.
• Willingness to participate in Vocational Training Programmes.
• Satisfactory Police Check and POVA List check where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Care: assist with washing, toileting, dressing, and daily living activities.
• Support across physical, emotional and spiritual care needs while maintaining comfort and dignity.
• Assist residents with limited mobility and use of aids.
• Monitor residents who may be confused or have behavioural issues.
• Support continence and care for those dying or with progressive illness.
• Record daily care notes and follow care home policies.
• Encourage social activities and hobbies within the care home.
• Respond to Nursecall system and communication by phone/door.
