Job summary

Hill Care Ltd. is seeking a compassionate Care Assistant to support Residents in a Residential Home. You will assist with daily living activities, monitor wellbeing, and help maintain a safe, respectful environment.

The role focuses on comfort, dignity, and person-centered care, requiring good communication and teamwork. The position involves carrying out a wide range of care tasks, from personal support to assisting with social activities, while following the Home’s policies and procedures.

Qualifications

• Genuine interest in working within a caring environment.
• Ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
• Team player with collaborative approach.
• Willingness to participate in Vocational Training Programmes.
• Satisfactory Police Check and check against the POVA List (where applicable).

Responsibilities

• Provide care support with washing, toileting, dressing and daily living activities.
• Attend to physical, emotional and spiritual care needs while maintaining dignity.
• Assist residents with mobility and use of aids.
• Monitor residents who are confused or have behavioural issues.
• Support continence and hydration during meals.
• Assist with end-of-life care and last offices when required.
• Record daily care notes and follow care plans.
• Encourage participation in activities and hobbies.
• Answer Nursecall, door, and phone; relay messages promptly.
• Report wellbeing concerns to senior staff.
• Perform regular safety checks on residents.
• Welcome visitors and provide refreshments as needed.
