Job summary

EMED Group is seeking compassionate Ambulance Care Assistants to join our Reading team. You’ll support patients of all ages on journeys to and from medical facilities, driving when needed and assisting with safe patient handling.

No ambulance experience is required as we provide full training. The role includes evenings and weekends with shifts from 05:00 to 01:00 and a valid UK manual driving licence, DBS clearance, and a strong commitment to patient care.

Qualifications

• Valid UK manual driving licence with up to 6 points.
• Ability to work flexible shifts between 05:00–01:00, Monday to Sunday.

Responsibilities

• Drive patients to and from medical appointments and between healthcare facilities.
• Assist with lifting, securing and helping patients in and out of the Ambulance.
• Transfer patients from beds to stretchers or chairs and ensure ambulance is kept clean and safe.
• Handover patients to appropriate staff on arrival at treatment centres or to family/friends at home.
