Job summary

Protocol Education Limited is seeking a caring Learning Partner to join a welcoming primary school in Patchway, providing dedicated 1:1 support for a pupil with SEN. The role involves close collaboration with the class teacher and SEND team to tailor activities and help the pupil access learning.

You will foster independence, support social and emotional development, and maintain a calm, encouraging presence throughout the day. Experience in SEN and DBS checks are required or in progress.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN).
• Experience working within a primary school or educational setting is highly desirable.
• Patient, compassionate and able to build positive relationships with children.
• Calm, adaptable and encouraging, even on challenging days.
• Holds an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willing to obtain one.
• References from the past 24 months as part of compliance.

Responsibilities

• Provide tailored 1:1 support to help your pupil access learning.
• Adapt activities where needed and encourage independence.
• Work closely with the class teacher and SEND team.
• Help the pupil develop socially and emotionally and feel confident in the classroom.
• Be a calm, reassuring presence throughout the school day.
• Support planning and delivery of learning activities with flexibility.
