Job summary

Protocol Education is seeking a caring Learning Partner to work with a pupil with SEN in a Patchway primary school. You will provide dedicated 1:1 support to help the pupil access learning and participate in classroom activities.

You will work closely with the class teacher and SEND team, adapting activities to promote independence and confidence. A DBS on Update Service is required or willingness to obtain one, along with 24 months of references.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN).
• Experience in a primary school or educational setting is highly desirable.
• Willingness to obtain/enhanced DBS on the Update Service and provide 24 months of references.

Responsibilities

• Provide tailored 1:1 support to help the pupil access learning.
• Support social and emotional development and classroom confidence.
• Adapt activities to meet individual needs and encourage independence.
• Maintain a calm, reassuring presence throughout the school day.
