Job summary

Caritas Diocese of Salford is seeking Bank Support & Activities Workers to cover a variety of shifts across homelessness day centres and accommodation projects in Manchester. You will provide a friendly and professional welcome to people using our services and spend time with residents in communal areas and the cafe.

You will listen to residents, offer signposting advice and help resolve problems. You will facilitate activities to help people connect, stay active and learn, while also handling

Qualifications

• Experience running activities for residents and working with people who are homeless or vulnerable.
• Excellent customer service, IT and administrative skills.
• A collaborative team player with a positive attitude.

Responsibilities

• Welcome visitors in a friendly and professional manner across centres and cafes.
• Listen to residents, provide signposting and help resolve problems.
• Facilitate recreational activities (cooking, games, arts and crafts) to connect and engage residents.
• Carry out building checks, respond to emergencies, answer telephone calls and monitor CCTV.
• Undertake minor domestic tasks and contribute to a safe, welcoming environment.
