We are advertising for Bank Support & Activities Workers to work a variety of shifts across our homelessness day centres and accommodation projects in Manchester. You will provide a friendly and professional welcome to people coming in and out of our services, as well as spending time with people in the communal areas and cafe.
As a Bank Support & Activities worker you will listen to residents, provide signposting advice and help them resolve problems. During day shifts you will facilitate recreational activities aimed at enabling people to connect, be active, learn and have fun, for example cooking sessions, games or arts / crafts sessions. You will also be responsible for doing building checks, dealing with emergencies, answering telephone calls, monitoring CCTV and undertaking minor domestic tasks.
You will have excellent customer service skills, good IT and admin skills with a positive approach to team working. Experience of running activities and working with people that are homeless and may be vulnerable, or disadvantaged groups in a residential / similar setting is essential.
The shifts available are:
Monday to Friday between 9:00am - 17:00pm
Evenings: 16:45pm - 21:15pm
Nights: 20:45pm - 9:15am
Weekends: 8:45am to 21:15pm
