A supportive teaching agency in Morpeth is seeking a full-time Community SEND Tutor to work with pupils who have special educational needs. The role involves 1:1 teaching, planning lessons, and requires valid QTS or QTLS. Candidates should possess strong classroom management skills and a passion for teaching children with SEMH/SEN. Access to a vehicle is essential for community-based teaching.
A KS2 - KS4 Community SEND Tutor role in the Morpeth area which is full time and starts asap. It is an 0830 to 3.30 and Monday to Friday role until at least Christmas. Mileage is paid at 45 p a mile. I need to check whether that is from home or from the main school address where the pupils are on role with. This is a role which needs a Teacher to plan and lead the learning.
The role involves working with pupils 1:1 or in small groups either at the pupil\'s home or in the community. All the pupils will have SEND needs and some will have anxiety and be school refusers. Due to this role needing a driver, access to a vehicle is essential. Community teaching involves being able to build up trust with the pupil and their family, just as much as it involves teaching.
Experience of tutoring would be a good fit for this role.
